Pendragon

USS Pendragon (NCC-2088)
Excelsior-class

History

The USS Pendragon was orginally commissioned in July 2294, along with its sister ship, the USS Excalibur (NCC-2089). It served in active duty until 2346, when it sustained sizable damage during combat with the IKS K’Vagh; at that time it was decomissioned and placed in the mothballed fleet.

In August 2372, Admiral William Ross published an executive order placing much of the mothball fleet back into service, including the Pendragon. The vessel underwent repairs to its damaged systems, and recieved a basic overhaul.

In September 2372, Captain Matthew Hardwick was placed in command, and assigned a crew taken from other posts. She was then assigned to Starbase 129 near the Cardassian and Klingon borders as a patrol vessel.
